PAPER TOWEL CHURCH

I was recently reading some of my personal journal notes and found this one from April 2023 called the Paper Towel Church. It was a simple word then that now seems not nearly so.

I think it was motivated by a comparative commercial about how much better one paper towel was than another. That’s when I wrote: ‘Become a person/church that is stronger and tougher to better clean up messes, blot up mistakes and then make shiny windows of dingy souls.’

As I sorted through that it became obvious how much mercy and grace are needed to deal with messes, mistakes, spills and sins. The Paper Towel Church must be strong, tough and loving.

The last line I heard of this was: ‘We will stay rolled up or rolled out’ as Paper Towel people.
