NOAH’S DOVE
Noah’s Dove is very symbolic to the Dove that landed on Jesus: “After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him.” (Matthew 3:16)
I think this is a season when the Holy Spirit will continue (as the Dove) to be released in ever greater power and Indwelling.
As in Genesis 8 from the Ark:
The Release of the Dove will be threefold:
1. The Desire for a Place to Land vs.8-9: “He also released a dove to see if the water had receded and it could find dry ground. But the dove could find no place to land because the water still covered the ground. So it returned to the boat, and Noah held out his hand and drew the dove back inside.” This is the season of looking for people and churches and places “to land”. I think a judgment will begin on those where there “is no resting place for the sole of her foot.”
2. The Olive Branch Outpouring- v.11: “This time the dove returned to him in the evening with a fresh olive leaf in its beak. Then Noah knew that the floodwaters were almost gone.” It is the landing of the Dove on those who are at Peace and are Peacemakers. It is those where spiritually the “water has abated” and floodwaters are almost gone.
3. The Sent Out Dove- v.12: “He waited another seven days and then released the dove again. This time it did not come back.” The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all
the earth and nations. The Spirit of God will be “Sent Out.” It will be exported to all who desire King Jesus and His Kingdom.
It seems to me we are flooding up close to “in the days of Noah” (Luke 17:26-27)
“And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man.” Jesus
