MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
I was reminded in the night of the various stories through the years of those who had found a bottle washed ashore with a message inside. Some are very old bottles and others more modern. The messages are in the same categories…old and new.
Roz and I have found great pleasure (after years of refusal) in leaving gospel tracts wherever we go. We have found tracts that we think are responsible and have follow-up designed with the messages.
What came to my mind in the night was these tracts are like a Message in a Bottle. We have no idea where they will end up, who will read them and what response may follow. We just put them into the sea and let them wash ashore wherever the Lord pleases. Our responsibility is to pray over each ‘bottle’ we throw into the sea to reach just the right person.
I’m headed over to the other side of the Pond for some Cuban Coffee and Raspberry Tart and to look carefully to see if anyone has a message bottle floating over to my side of the Pond. Speak to me, Jesus.
