MAKING A DIFFERENCE
It matters little what we do… there will be those that are critical and disapproving of our efforts. I have never seen it any other way. As D.L. Moody (1837-1899) evangelist and author once said, “It is clear you don’t like my way of doing evangelism. You raise some good points. Frankly, I sometimes do not like my way of doing evangelism. But I like my way of doing it better than your way of not doing it.”
James Clear, motivational speaker and author wrote, “The more time you spend complaining about what you deserve, the less time you have to focus on what you can create. Focus on what you can control.”
I think Rick Godwin, pastor and author, best sums it up: “If you are not criticized, you may not be doing much that makes a difference.”
We must do what we believe we are called to do. If we can’t take the heat… we should get out of the kitchen.
“From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against—or two in favor and three against. Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Jesus
