KINGDOM OF GOD LIFESTYLE

Jesus fully lived the kingdom of God lifestyle. Within himself, he lived heaven and earth.

“We need not choose between immanence and transcendence, for God is both. God is both within and beyond the world.” (Richard Beck, professor and author) I think we need to think the same way about that… heaven and earth… here and there…now and not yet.

We are here with cancer, diabetes, addictions, children who are sick or distant, divorce, jobless, in trouble without enough money and many, many other issues in a contaminated climate-changing world. But, we also have carnita’s tacos, German chocolate cake and various kinds of cats, and F-250 Pickups, and other stuff. I still like it here though because I know nothing else ‘but here’ except by faith. In faith we too live in the earth and heaven tension.

By faith we also live and breathe and believe this, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:1-4)

This is normal Kingdom of God lifestyle.
