LIVING IS CHANGING
Living is changing…changing is living. This is true, however, because there is change does not mean
things are better because of the change anymore than before it. Many changes I have seen have not been for the better in my opinion. Change just to change can be very misguided and unnecessary.
Harold Wilson (1916 -1995) past prime minister of the United Kingdom once wrote, “He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery.”
It is one thing to refuse to go forward and another thing to not agree with certain changes. Besides, who says the cemetery can’t be made a better place. It depends on which side of the grave we are viewing it from… or maybe not.
“Yes, woe to you, Pharisees, and you religious leaders—hypocrites! For you build monuments to the prophets killed by your fathers and lay flowers on the graves of the godly men they destroyed, and say, ‘We certainly would never have acted as our fathers did.’” Jesus
