GATHERINGS II

Basically, no spiritual gifts are required or needed for normal weekly Gatherings except for a music leader, teachers and hat passers. The concern of course is that little Kingdom influence and difference can come from these expensive and extensive meetings. They are not particularly compatible with the Kingdom mission and purpose of Jesus for the most part. They are almost like a Church Picnic Part One and then the Food and Potato Salad and Pie are Part Two.

The greater part of Jesus’ mission, which requires multiple spiritual gifts, seems to go on without much effort, effect or support from the body of Christ. But, so be it. It goes on anyway because it seems nothing can stop it. The Kingdom way is unstoppable and undeterred because it is the Holy Spirit producing the strength and faith through His gifts to make a difference in one person, one city, one nation or one world. It is very simple. It seems we must truly be gathered to Jesus before we can be gathered to anything or anyone else.
