FREEDOM IS SIMPLICITY

The greatest form of freedom is simplicity. The fewer things in our own arsenal will allow space for the Holy Spirit to put His gifts. The Holy Spirit gifts do not compete for space. They wait for our own human exhaustion and our cry for mercy; then they manifest as intended. The gifts are simple and they need no props, introductions or accompaniment of men. The simplicity of freedom is to rid oneself of the comfortable baggage of our sophisticated and egotistical intellect.

Freedom means free and it first means free from ourselves and then free to the liberty of Jesus by dwelling and participating in Holy Spirit gifts for our every function. Paul, an apostle, wrote to the Romans, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Wow, am I glad for that.
