FAITHLESS FRANKIE
Many times we wait when we don’t need to be waiting. But sometimes, for some reason, we wait anyway, as if it is out of our control. It could be a timing thing, a money thing or whatever. It might be a particular person. You know you are in trouble when Faithless Frankie is leading a meeting, be it your supervisor, your boss, your elder, your board member, pastor, co-worker—whoever, a Frankie is a Frankie. You need to get rid of this person in your life. They will drag you into the miry bog they are in mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. They are holding things up, stopping progress, innovation and creativity by being overly cautious, very safe, needing triple proof, having no faith, or simply incompetent.
We have to do what we have to do. Don’t wait for tomorrow, money, more people, the weather, more training, better timing or circumstances—go for it! The Frankie’s’ will always be there and we must learn to work our way around them, or through them; but start we must. Don’t wait any longer. Go on—write your book, change jobs, start your street ministry, move out of state, go to law school, open your counseling center, your boy’s ranch, your horse outreach, Go on—start your own school and tutoring center, get your contractor’s license, open your small business, your beauty salon, your real estate office, your radiator shop, your PC repair service, your art studio and gallery. Just don’t become the Faithless Frankie you see in others.
“But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of it’s own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Jesus
