DO SOMETHING
The brilliant George MacDonald (1824-1905) Scottish minister and author wrote:
“Doubt may be a poor encouragement to do anything, but it is a bad reason for doing nothing.”
Just do nothing and we will destroy something… if not everything. Starting out with doubt may be helpful. It could make us more careful in our considerations and adjustments. Doubt is no reason to quit, but to be wiser. How do we quit thinking about quitting?
By having a reason not to quit… Do Something.
Things often do get better because we get better at doing things. We go, even if you have no place to go. The going may be the discovery of the place.
When we feel good, then we feel good…
I doubt I will ever shoot the ball like Steph Curry… 4,000 3 pointers (March 2025). I saw a plaque where Curry was practicing: ‘Good enough is not good enough,’ Stephen Curry. That does not mean I won’t shoot a few buckets when I can. I will Do Something.
“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” Jesus
