CAN OF WORMS

The term Can of Worms can be a difficult and bad thing like the dictionary says: “If you say that someone is opening a can of worms, you are warning them that they are planning to do or talk about something that is much more complicated, unpleasant, or difficult than they realize and that might be better left alone.” (Urban Dictionary)

But if you are going fishing… it could be a very good and essential thing. Without the worms you could be without the fish.

I am wondering if one of the unmentioned ‘spiritual gifts’ isn’t: The Can Opener. It is the person who comes along and lets the worms out of the can and they just go where they go. I’m thinking of Biblical Can Openers. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and John the Baptist came to my mind… but they are nothing compared to Jesus.
