BE KIND
Frederick Buechner wrote, “When Henry James, of all people, was saying goodbye once to his young nephew Billy, his brother William’s son, he said something that the boy never forgot: “There are three things that are important in human life. The first is to be kind. The second is to be kind. The third is to be kind.”
The apostle Paul wrote to the Church of Galatia, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Kindness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
It is this simple: To not be kind is to be unkind or no kind.
“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.” Jesus
