ARK OF THE COVENANT 7
In the night back on 7 March 2024 I heard this:
‘We are to be the very things that were in the Ark of the Covenant…’ (Continued from last six days)
I think the understanding of Aaron’s Staff (rod) is marked out clearly in these ways:
It was given as a sign of authority and leadership.
By obedience to the Lord, it was used repeatedly for signs and wonders and miracles.
It was used to separate the false from the true.
It was a miraculous display of full growth in one night.
It is commonly called: ‘Aaron’s rod that budded.’ But it did much more: it “sprouted, budded, blossomed, and produced ripe almonds” in one night. (Numbers 17:8)
I have lived most of my life where almonds are grown and now live in the heart of almond growing country. I have seen the sprout, buds, beautiful blossoms and full-grown ripe almonds many times in my lifetime. From mid-February to mid-March are the bud and the bloom, March until June the almond matures and grows to full size in a fuzzy outer shell. In July the hulls split open allowing the inner kernel to dry. From August (just about right now), the almond is harvested. To have all that happen overnight is truly miraculous!
“When Moses brought all the staffs out from the LORD’s presence, he showed them to the people. Each man claimed his own staff. And the Lord said to Moses: “Place Aaron’s staff permanently before the Ark of the Covenant to serve as a warning to rebels. This should put an end to their complaints against me and prevent any further deaths.” So Moses did as the Lord commanded him.” (Numbers 17:9-11)
“Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?” Jesus
