SHOWER CURTAINS
I have noticed over the last few years the replacement of the straight shower curtain rod for the bowed shower curtain rod. Now this is significant because with the straight rod the plastic/fabric curtain can get wet and then reach over and grab you on any part of your body as you bathe. This can cause one great alarm and quick moves into instant defensive positions from these curtain attacks. Many a fine curtain has been shredded, wadded up and pulled down in these shower curtain battles. This is because no one with the slightest amount of sensitivity can tolerate being grabbed by wet plastic.
Why did it take 200 years to figure out that putting a slight bend in the shower curtain bar could eliminate all this trouble? This discovery ranks in the top five all-time discoveries: the wheel, invented by Carlyle the Caveman; electricity, invented by my friend John; apricot fried pies, invented by F.P. and Lula and thus Roz; and the computer, invented by Al Gore and now this bowed curtain rod. I don’t know the inventor of the bowed shower curtain rod for sure, but I think it was Leonard and Lilly Scruggs after a shower curtain attack at the Super 8 Motel in Henrietta, Oklahoma. That is yet to be verified. No really, that is what happened (maybe).
