SEEKING THE WISE
Solomon wrote in Proverbs:
“The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a
companion of fools will suffer harm.”
(Proverbs 13:20”
Another version says this:
“Walk with the wise and become wise;
associate with fools and get in trouble.” (NLT)
Finding wise men and wise women is an essential task for those who wish to mature in Kingdom ways and understanding the message and ways of Jesus. The deception is often thinking that those with knowledge are wise. We walk with the wise to get wise… walk with goofballs and we get goofy.
As Paul, an apostle wrote to the Ephesians: “I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him” (Ephesians 1:17). Do this, Lord, we pray.
“Therefore, I send you prophets and wise men and scribes…” Jesus
