CHOOSING A LEADER
Octavia Butler (1947–2006) author, wrote:
“Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought.
To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool.
To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen.
To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.”
I’m headed over to the other side of the Pond to have some Cuban Coffee and Carmel Corn and celebrate that Jesus Christ our leader is not a coward, a fool, a thief, a liar or a tyrant, but a loving Shepherd that laid down his life for his sheep. Jesus is a wise choice.
“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.” Jesus
