BEING NORMAL
Being normal is not a normal statement. There are simply too many variables in most cases. Medical and some other fields may have gauges that indicate a scientific normal such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, etc. Many other areas of our lives are arbitrary to our specific or personal issues.
Even with various ideals that are called normal, we now live in fast moving changes on every side. The term now is frequently called the ‘new normal.’ That just means it is not like it once was. This is also only new to the one it is new to and that isn’t everyone. The regulator for normal is what and how we do something.
George Carlin (1937-2008) comedian, said:
“Everyone driving slower than you is an idiot and everyone driving faster than you is a maniac.”
“Our model of the world assumes people are like us. We don’t just do whatever we consider normal, we also consider normal whatever we do.” Gurwinder
So that’s the measuring tool: Everyone who is like us is normal and everyone not like us is not normal.
“To what can I compare the people of this generation? How can I describe them?” Jesus
