THE AMAZING EYE

The other night I looked out at the sky and surrounding area. It was very dark and I was unable to see much. Then I realized something for the first time: Our eyes can see darkness as well as light. I could see that it was dark. I could also see light when dawn came. I am not trying to be too simple here, on the contrary. The amazing eye sees light and color and it also sees black and dark and night as a color.

The Holy Spirit gives this same gifting to our Spiritual Eye: we can see what is light and we can see what is dark. We know good and evil, right and wrong, light and dark, acceptable and unacceptable, correct and incorrect, true and false. What an amazing eye.

I need to get back over on my side on the pond and try to get more sleep.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” Jesus
