EXPRESSION OF BEAUTY
When Jesus was asked about “the greatest commandment in the law,” he replied, “Love the Lord your God… with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind.” Then he added, “the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We bring the Beauty to the entire world around us. There is nothing left out… God, neighbor and self all need the same beauty (goodness).
Love is the expression of Beauty. Goodness (beauty) is the natural activity and expression of Love. Love controls our decision-making: In choosing Jesus and the Kingdom we have made the wisest and best possible choice. We have chosen out of our pleasure to love God as He loves us. He is our highest pleasure, joy, our truest happiness, our essential life and thus our Beauty. John, an apostle, said it perfectly, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation (sacrifice) for our sins.” John also said, “We love, because he first loved us.” To love is to agree with God.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” Jesus
